Beetos[1] are enemies in Shovel Knight Dig. A variant, called Rolling Beeto, is encountered in The Grub Pit.
Appearance[]
Beetos appear as a completely red beetle with a head that has a visible eye, shell, and four legs.
Game information[]
Beetos are found in Mushroom Mines and The Grub Pit. They walk horizontally on platforms and have 1 HP, and when killed will drop 2 green gems. Unlike other enemies, when Beetos are killed they will grunt and fall off the screen instead of disappearing in a puff of smoke. Additionally, their dead bodies can be hit multiple times when falling off the screen. Beetos are commonly encountered in groups.
While Beetos are not normally encountered in Smeltworks, one Beeto can be found in a trap sideroom where a Beeto will slowly walk toward stationary drills while Shovel Knight has to dodge rocket knives. Once the Beeto dies, Shovel Knight will be able to exit the room.
In The Grub Pit a Beeto variant called Rolling Beeto can be encountered. These Beetos come in red and grey and roll balls of dung.
