The Cutting Master is a character in Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage

The Cutting Master is an experienced viking with a brown beard and brown hair. His beard and hair are tied into four sections by white colored bands. He has one grey eye and wears an eye patch over his other eye. In the middle of his beard is his light brown lip. Above this lip is his brown moustache. On top of his head he wears a grey, metal helmet with white horns on it.

The Cutting Master is an arrogant Viking that is very experienced at cutting ice. He takes the player as his apprentice after the player rescues him in Hammerfest level 5 The Cutting Master. The Cutting Master, along with many other Vikings, is blown away by the large storm that comes in during the Hammerfest cinematic.
The apprentice must rescue the Cutting Master and the other Vikings from the dangerous situations they find themselves in after being settled down by the storm. The Cutting Master is later found chained up in Troll Marsh level 11 Cutting Master Returns. After many stuck-up prompts from the Cutting Master, the player saves him and returns him to the Drakkar. He then poses a challenge to the player by adding the par system to the game, which the player accepts. The par system unlocks new levels in Hammerfest when the player earns 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, and 80 pars. The Cutting Master appears in all of these levels, frequently making comments about the player's skill.
