Okay. When NTPYTO wrote to Lee Nicklen, he got back a reply saying that "Nitrome Wiki has a lot of users". This seems to be a problem, for people in general. A stereotype for wikis is that articles are made by lots of people making small edits to produce large articles. This is not true for Nitrome Wiki. Most articles are edited by the same group of users, time and time again. We want more users to come, but they won't come if they don't think we need help. When I came last November, I wanted to edit the wiki to help, but I didn't know the wiki wanted users. Joining the wiki seems obligatory, and it is, but we don't stress that we want users to come. People think of the wiki as something to help them, not something for them to help. Any suggestions to make it more obvious we want users?
Please read the above thoroughly before making a response.
I think that he meant that lots of users view and read the wiki, but not so many join. and I think that we get a lot of new IP accounts, but most of them don't make an account, and when they do, they usually don't stick around. NTPYTO GbSpR4 15:23, May 7, 2012 (UTC)
Still though, lots of new IP accounts don't mean lots of help. Only a select few have made a good amount of edits. I'm saying that they don't know we need help, which is the issue here.
