The new website's home page

Nitrome 2.6 is a new and the current version of Nitrome's official website. It was launched in mid-2020, following the inductance of the GDPR laws. This new feature introduces a new skin, a revamped home page, among other stuff.

History[]

In 2018, there was the introduction of the GDPR policy, which forced Nitrome to shut down all of its users' accounts, but this gave them the opportunity to focus more on the mobile market. This became more reasonable, following the end of Adobe Flash in 2020. Two years later, Nitrome began to port some of its older flash games to HTML 5, with the help of devs from Poki, so that they may still be playable. However, Nitrome gave the option of playing its Flash games the way they used to be, with the help of Supernova, a new app whom Nitrome has partnered with, in order to restore their older games, but continuing to port some of their previous games to HTML 5.

Features[]

  • Accounts and avatars are no longer accessible, as they have been removed permanently.
  • Not only is there just a page for flash and mobile games, but there are also separate ones for HTML 5 games, console games, PC games, and even games on TV (what with the release of Super Leap Day on Apple Arcade).
  • There is access to Nitrome's new discord server.
