There are different items throughout the game. All of them can be absorbed by the slime for different purposes. There are five items in total.
Key[]
The key is one of the most recurring item in the game, as Slime uses it to open locked doors in game. Often times, they will be hidden somewhere in a nearby room, or out of reach for the player.
Anchor[]
The anchor is found in areas that have water in them, or are flooded. Being an anchor, the Slime can use it to sink into water instead of floating, which is necessary to reach certain parts of a flooded room.
Slingshot[]
The only weapon in the game, the slingshot is useful for killing any enemies, and is used in the final boss fight with Mr. Minetti, and has unlimited ammunition. In addition to killing enemies, the slingshot can also be used for hitting buttons that are out of reach.
Chilli pepper[]
The chilli pepper is a food item that is found in the fire lab and cryo lab areas, and when eaten, will turn the Slime red and boiling hot. This is helpful in removing any flammable obstacles, like wooden crates and barrels, and ice blocks.
Bone[]
The bone is a useful item found exclusively in the gears lab area. It is useful for a section involving Doggo, who normally kills the slime on contact when angry, but the bone can help tame him, therefore making the Slime immune to Doggo.
